Bio

Originally from the vibrant city of New York, I embarked on a new adventure by relocating to San Diego after college, drawn by my passion for the sun, surfing, and rollerblading. My journey took an unexpected turn while working as a temp teacher's aide on the Mexico border, where I uncovered my true calling for teaching. Assigned to a classroom where the waves were sometimes more enticing to the teacher than the lesson plans, I found myself stepping up to lead the class. It was in those moments of unplanned responsibility that I discovered the profound joy and excitement of education.

Fueled by this newfound passion, I pursued and earned a multiple subject credential, which opened the door to my first role as a middle school teacher. Since then, I have earned an additional credential in Science. Through the years, I've had the privilege of teaching a diverse range of grades and settings, each experience enriching my teaching practice and deepening my commitment to education.

Today, I am delighted to be a part of the Pathways Team, where I bring my enthusiasm and expertise to the classroom. Science, my favorite subject, holds a special place in my heart for its ability to connect us to every facet of our lives. Through the study of Science, we gain insights into ourselves and our world, fostering a sense of wonder, compassion, and gratitude. I am passionate about guiding students through this incredible journey, helping them to explore and appreciate the complexities of life through the lens of Science.
